The world famous Brazilian footballer Pelé has died


Brazil’s world famous footballer Pele (Edson Arantes do Nascimento) has passed away. 82-year-old Pele died on Thursday night during treatment at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo.

Pele, suffering from kidney and prostate disease, was admitted to the hospital a month ago for treatment. Pele’s family and relatives have mentioned that Pele died during treatment in the hospital.

Pele has been instrumental in helping Brazil win the FIFA World Cup three times in a row. Pele has a rare record of winning the World Cup three times in a row.

Pele-inspired Brazil won the World Cup in 1958, 1962 and 1970. Pele played 1,363 matches and scored 1,281 goals in his 21-year career.

He played 92 matches for Brazil and scored 77 goals. Pele, who has a magical ability in football, was announced as the FIFA Player of the Century in 2000.
