Breaking: Corruption case filed against former Prime Minister Nepal


Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and others. The authority has filed a case in a special court on charges of irregularities in the Patanjali land swap case. A high-ranking CIAA source said that the case was registered a while ago. According to CIAA sources, the commission has filed a corruption case against Nepal, who is also a former Prime Minister, in the Patanjali land embezzlement case. This is the first time that a corruption case has been filed against a former Prime Minister in a special court.

Suspension of MP post
The chairman of the Unified Socialist Party and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal’s MP post has been suspended after a corruption case was filed.

After the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed a corruption case against Nepal on Thursday in the Patanjali land swap case, his MP post has been automatically suspended. This is the first time in the history of Nepal that a corruption case has been filed against a former Prime Minister. Similarly, this is the first time that a corruption case has been filed against a decision of the Council of Ministers.
